For students aged 11 to 17 years, our English PLUS Holiday courses have been running for many years. Some students return year after year to meet old friends. Others, when they are old enough, may come back to help as Sports Assistants. English teachers too, return to Alexanders each summer to enjoy again our unique residential centre on the Bawdsey Manor Estate. Course are always over-subscribed so book early to avoid disappointment. English PLUS courses: Art, Multi Activities, Sailing, Tennis, Golf, Horseriding, Football, Music and Drama or Intensive English. Accommodation Students are all resident on campus in separate boarding houses for boys and girls, each supervised by resident staff. Some children prefer to share with friends from the same country and we try to make special arrangements if we know in advance. English Language tuition The course includes 15 hours General English language each week. Students learn in small groups of no more than 15 people, with others of similar ability. All levels of English language are accepted. There is a grading test on arrival. At the end of the course, each student receives a Certificate of Attendance and a short report to record individual achievement.
