ALL overseas long-term students must have a guardian in the UK. A guardian takes the place of a parent in this country and is responsible for taking care of the student when he or she is not at Alexanders International School, but in the UK. The guardian will help with arrangements for travel to and from School, deal with passport or visa problems and take care of a student during short holidays or if the student is unwell for a short time, and unfit to remain in school. The guardian is welcome to visit Alexanders at any time, to check on a student's progress or to come to a sports event at the school, for example. A guardian must be a responsible adult with a home in this country. An older brother or cousin at university in the UK is not a suitable guardian. Parents are responsible for making guardianship arrangements. There are several reliable Guardianship Companies in the UK. Click on the links below for more information.
