Dear Parents

Throughout the 28 years that I have been at Alexanders International School, it has been my great pleasure to have welcomed young people from over 70 countries.  For the majority it was their first experience of life in a foreign country.

Our staff, many of whom have lived overseas, understand how difficult it can be to cope with learning a language whilst dealing with cultural differences, different food and being away from parents and friends for the first time.  At Alexanders we create an atmosphere where each young person can develop educationally and emotionally in a safe, caring environment.

We are conscious that part of our job in preparing young people to move on to schools, colleges or universities in the UK, is to give them confidence to cope with this potentially daunting experience.  Alexanders will provide a firm foundation on which to build.

A large number of our former students visit us or write to thank us for their time spent at Bawdsey, which, they say, helped prepare them for the demands of university education both in Britain and abroad.
